Front Office Specialist

Duties include but not limited to : *Patient check-in and check-out, schedule appointments, answer incoming phones, interoffice calls, scribing, transcription and assist the referral coordinator. Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor to include participation in resident education. Computer competence a must. Prefer medical terminology and medical insurance knowledge.

Minimum 1 year experience in healthcare preferred. Competitive wages and benefits including, 401K and vacation.

Clinical Operations Manager

Northeast Iowa Family Practice Center looking for an individual to be responsible for management of the clinical operations,  assisting with strategic planning and improvement of operations, maintaining high quality and cost effective services, and personnel development. Founded in 1975 as a residency clinic, the Family Practice Center serves approximately 8,000 active patients for 20,000 annual visits including a lab, x-ray, mental health counseling services and a diabetes care manager. Waterloo/Cedar Falls is a community of approximately 100,000 with a wide range of family and cultural events.  Competitive salary and benefits including paid time off, health and dental insurance, and a 401k plan.
Four year college/university degree or equivalent experience, preferably in health care administration, nursing or business administration.
Seven years of experience working in ambulatory clinic office with three years of managerial experience, preferably in a Family Medicine office.
Training and experience in supervision of employees.
Training and experience with computer networks and with a variety of clinical, office  and financial software.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Familiarity with health care reimbursement terminology and previous experience in negotiating and evaluating third-party payer contracts.
Experience with quality healthcare metrics, ACOs and ancillary services. 
Expertise in patient relations and employee engagement.

Clinical Research Coordinator

The Northeast Iowa Medical Education Foundation (NEIMEF)/Northeast Iowa Family Practice Center (NEIFPC) is seeking candidates for a Research Study Coordinator position.  Primary job responsibilities will include:  identification and recruitment of potential study patients, meeting with patients, and ensuring adherence to study protocols involving new medications.  This is a full-time, temporary position which is guaranteed through May 31, 2020.  There is potential to advance to full-time, permanent depending upon need and performance. 
Registered Nurse, Bachelor’s degree in a health related field, Medical Assistant, or other related medical experience.  Prior clinic experience is preferred.  The candidate must be able to read and analyze technical reports and regulations.  Basic computer skills are required.  Some very infrequent travel may be required.  If you enjoy medical science, learning about new discoveries, and working with people, this position may be of interest to you.  Strong communication skills are essential.
