Bio: Dr. Hoehns has been a clinical pharmacy faculty member of the Northeast Iowa Family Practice Residency Program for the past six years. He has also been a Clinical Assistant Professor with the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy during this same time. Dr. Hoehns earned his B.S.Ph and Pharm.D. degree from the University of Iowa in 1992 and 1994, respectively. He then completed a specialty pharmacy residency in Family Medicine in 1995 at the University of Iowa Family Practice Center. Dr. Hoehns is involved in teaching Family Medicine residents, pharmacy students, and pharmacy residents about drug therapy. He has collaborated with Dr. John Sutherland on numerous clinical research studies over the years. His current research interests include: cardiovascular therapeutics, diabetes, and hormone replacement therapy.
