Letter from the Medical Director

Dear patient of Northeast Iowa Family Practice Center,

In order to be able to serve you during this time we are emphasizing the following items.

  • If you are experiencing fever, cough, and/or breathing issues, please call us before coming in for any appointments at 319-272-2112.  We are increasing the availability of nurses to help triage how to best care for you. The nurse will decide how to best serve you.
  • For the safety of all of patients and staff, it is best if people who may have mild COVID-19 illness not come inside the clinic for testing. We are offering drive up testing for those that fit the CDC requirements for testing.
  • We will soon have virtual visits available so we can see you over the internet. There are also other services we can provide via our portal/by phone.
  • For respiratory patients that need a visit, we have set up access from a different entrance, skipped check in and waiting room time, and will get you seen in an isolated area of the building. If you need influenza, strep, or COVID testing, we can do that for you.

We have increased the frequency of sanitizing commonly touched surfaces like door knobs, elevator buttons and check-in counters.

Finally, if you develop any symptoms of fever/cough prior to a previously scheduled appointment, please call us to discuss options for rescheduling.  Please let you pharmacy know if you need additional refills of your medicine so that you can have a three month supply on hand.

Thank you for trusting us as your medical home.  If you have questions, concerns, or suggestions for improvement, please contact us.

Sincerely,

Adam Roise, MD, MPH, FAAFP
Medical Director
